Ou’s Lyrical Chanting in
Classical Chinese
Wenwei Ou is a famous
qigong Master and a great healer. In 1990, he created a

of students world wide. In recent years, he has developed a
method of absorbing and transmitting this powerful energy
through Classical Chinese Lyrical Chanting. The results
have been extraordinary. The lyrical chants and songs he
composed all embody his earnest blessings, then are conveyed
by his powerful and gentle voice, and, as a result, contain
even better adjusting functions than the ancient ones. In
the past three years, through the experiences of over 20,000
students, it has proved to have an outstanding healing
function.
How to Get the Most Benefit
From Wenwei Ou's Chanting CD
Master Ou's chanting CD transmits a unique
vibrational energy that can bring health, balance and
vitality to the listener. So that you may receive these
benefits in the deepest and most helpful way possible, here
are a few key points that are helpful to keep in mind:
1) Relax: Bring your
awareness through your body, checking to see if you are
holding any part of your body with tension, and release it.
Allow your mind to float, being free from concerns or
focus. Set the volume of your player to medium.
2) Position: Choose a
position that will allow you to listen comfortably. The
following are some suggested postures:
i) Standing: With your feet
about shoulders' width and your shoulders relaxed, gently
raise your forearms to waist height, palms up at about a 90
degree angle, with your eyes closed. This is an ideal
posture for adjusting tendons and bones and for reducing
muscle tension, as well as improving the functions of the
heart and lungs.
ii) Seated: Using a chair that
has a back, sit naturally and comfortable with your back
against the chair back. You may find yourself drifting off
to sleep while you're listening to the chants. This is
normal. This is a very helpful posture for easing fatigue
and psychological pressures, as well as adjusting and
reviving general body function.
iii) Lying Down: Lie on
your back with your hands at your sides with the palms
facing up. This is also very helpful in easing you to
sleep, reducing fatigue, psychological pressures and for
adjusting and reviving your body's functions.
3) Experiences: With each
session of listening to the chants with a calm and tranquil
mindset, you may experience a few unusual phenomena. A few
examples are yawning, shedding tears, spontaneous rocking
(while standing), and feeling drowsy or falling asleep.
Additionally, there may be feelings of slight discomfort in
the areas of health concerns (this is rare). All of these
experiences indicate that your body is responding well to
the energy and information being transmitted through the
chants, and is adjusting its functions through the increase
of energy flow. These are all good signs and no cause for
concern.
4) Duration: You may choose
to listen to the chanting CD from beginning to end or
spontaneously from any portion. It is optimal to listen to
for at least one hour for each session. Longer periods
bring even more benefits, allowing your body to absorb even
more energy and information. For those who have difficulty
sleeping, we suggest playing the chants at a very low volume
all night while you sleep.
5) Mindset: To the best of
your ability, try to remain calm, tranquil and relaxed while
listening to the chants. This helps to lower resistance in
your body, allowing the energy to flow more deeply and
evenly and bring the most benefit. As you get comfortable
listening and want to bring the results to an even higher
and deeper level, you may try learning to memorize a chant
and to follow along in your mind.
